Quiddity

Two decades shipping systems where reliability, narrative, and velocity all matter — from institutional finance to voice AI to on-chain analytics.

I’m a technologist and repeat founder. I like problems where the hard part isn’t a slide deck — it’s the architecture, the data model, the edge cases, and the humans who have to operate the system at 2am.

Today I’m CEO at Ormi (co-founder), focused on real-time data services for leading protocols — full tenure since May 2025, including the CTO chapter before moving to CEO in Apr 2026. Before that I co-founded and led Credmark Labs in DeFi analytics, and Clarify in speech/NLP APIs; earlier chapters include voice platforms, fintech infrastructure, and Wall Street systems engineering.

I’ve lived and worked across seven countries; the through-line is building APIs, platforms, and teams that survive contact with reality.

Destinations

One passport, seven personalities — coordinates are approximate bragging rights; the blurbs are mostly true.

Argentina — Atlas photo
34.6037° S,
58.3816° W

Argentina

Beef is a food group, dinner is a competitive sport that starts after most countries have gone to bed, and mate is both a drink and a personality test. Tango was invented here, which explains the dramatic flair when someone says the Wi‑Fi is slow.

France — Atlas photo
46° N,
2° E

France

They turned complaining into terroir and bread into a reason to wake up. Bureaucracy moves at the speed of a thoughtful shrug, but the cheese apologizes for nothing — and honestly, neither should you.

United States — Atlas photo
40.7128° N,
74.0060° W

United States

Coffee is a personality, tipping is a moral philosophy, and “How’s it going?” is rarely a question. If something can be scaled, disrupted, or turned into a podcast, three people in hoodies already have a deck for it.

Italy — Atlas photo
41.8902° N,
12.4922° E

Italy

Two thousand years of “we’ll refactor it in the next empire.” Pasta is sacred, hand gestures are punctuation, and traffic laws are more like guidelines from a charming relative who’s always late.

United Kingdom — Atlas photo
54° N,
2° W

United Kingdom

Queueing is the national sport, tea is emotional regulation, and “not bad” is roughly equivalent to a standing ovation. The weather is free ambient storytelling — mostly in the genre of light betrayal.

Thailand — Atlas photo
13.7469° N,
100.4928° E

Thailand

Smiles arrive before sentences, chili arrives whether you asked for it or not, and scooters obey only the laws of optimism. Wat Pho on the page — Bangkok in one frame: gold, incense, and the hum of a city that never quite stops moving.

Switzerland — Atlas photo
46.8° N,
8.2° E

Switzerland

Chocolate is currency, punctuality is patriotism, and the mountains judge your footwear silently but firmly. Four languages, one shared belief: if you miss the train, it was your spiritual journey, not theirs.

06 // Manias

Low Tech Obsessions

Analog counterweights to a digital career — stage, page, pigment, and dirt. No compile step; intermissions negotiable.

Movement

Ballet

Enough hours at New York City Ballet that attendance should probably require a permit. The body as compiler; the score as spec; the fourth wall as an API nobody documents.

Voice

Opera

The Metropolitan Opera: where running time is a personality test and intermission is logistics. More evenings there than any reasonable risk model would predict — and no regrets in the libretto.

Page

Books

Physical stacks, dog-ears, and the recurring fiction that I’m “almost done.” Fiction, non-fiction, and everything that refuses to fit a genre tag.

Antiquity

Classics

Greek and Roman texts — the original distributed systems, mostly eventual consistency. Philosophy, drama, and history with better patch notes than most startups.

Endurance

Sports

Long-distance running — marathons and the miles around them. Laps in pools all over the world, but given the choice I’m in the ocean. Snowboarding when the mountain allows it; surfski paddling when the sea does. Different mediums, same stubborn refusal to coast.

Canvas

Art

Contemporary lines that stuck: Ana Sacerdote, Esteban Lisa, and a longer list still migrating from notebooks to this page. Galleries as debug sessions for the eye.

Terroir

Farming

We produce olive oil in Umbria at UmbrianGold.com — and I’m planting a vineyard and a truffle farm. Some assets mature on decades, not funding rounds.
