Come Meet the Clarify Team - Winter 2016

We’re starting the New Year with just a handful of events. While there are plenty of things going on all over the place, we find it risky to fly north of Dallas this time of year. Why yes, we’ve adapted to Texas well.

  • First, we’ll be kicking things off with Data Day Texas here in Austin on January 16th. We’re looking forward to a number of sessions. The “Storing Time Series Data with Apache Cassandra” is high on the agenda but “From Sentiment to Persuasion Analysis” from Jason Kessler should be fascinating. Find me (Keith) in a Clarify shirt for your own shirt or stickers.
  • techstarsNext we’ll be visiting San Antonio for the Techstars Cloud Demo Day on February 11th. We know one of the Austin teams in this class – Clyp.it – and have already heard great things. As fellow graduates of the program (London, 2013) and mentors and advocates (Austin), we know the anxiety, stress, and relief that is coming their way. We wish them the best of luck.
  • Next, I’ll be foolishly visiting Montreal, Quebec in the dead of winter on February 24-26 to speak at Confoo. I’ll be giving two sessions called “Unlocking Data Trapped in Audio and Video Files” and then my infamous “12 Reasons Your API Sucks.” The first session an overview of some approaches to extracting and then understanding audio/video data. The second session is self-explanatory…
  • sxswFinally, no list of Austin events would be complete without SXSW on March 11-15th. To be frank, we’re not 100% sure what the plan is yet but we’ll likely open our office to host some guests and customers. More importantly, we have a number of customers hosting major events in both the Interactive and Film portions, so we’re looking forward to it. We may even have some new tools, features, and awesome customers to show off by then.

If you come across one of us, say hello. We’ll probably have shirts, stickers, a tasty beverage, or maybe even a new demo to share.
